Established in 1925, Wright - Tallmadge Fire Department maintains various fire stations and fire fighting trucks and equipment. It has a chaplain and more than 25 active volunteer members who work for the fire prevention and suppression needs of individuals in local neighborhoods. Wright - Tallmadge Fire Department maintains a nonprofit organization that offers fundraising services for procurement of various fire fighting, medical and rescue equipment. It is equipped with over 15 self-contained breathing apparatus, Jaws of Life, voice amplifiers, projectors and several types of devices for medical emergency response. Additionally, the department offers burning permits for family solid wastes, recreational camps and food preparation. Wright - Tallmadge Fire Department is located in Grand Rapids, Mich., and is a part of the Tallmadge Charter Township.
