Labor and Delivery
Augmentation mammoplasty, commonly known as breast augmentation, is a procedure in which implants are used to enlarge and enhance the breasts, giving the body more aesthetically pleasing proportions.* In addition to simple breast enlargement, breast augmentation is frequently used to correct sagging or loss of breast mass as a result of aging, childbirth, or genetic factors. Each breast augmentation procedure is customized to best accomplish that patientâ€™s individual goals and needs, so there are a number of decisions to be made about the type of procedure, including the placement, type of implants, and the type of incision used for the procedure.

Mammography
There are two primary types of placement available for breast augmentation procedures: Subglandular and submuscular. Implants placed subglandularly are located above the muscles of the chest and underneath the breast tissue. The drawbacks to this type of placement are that the implants are more likely to interfere with mammograms, and depending on existing breast tissue can even be visible. Submuscular implant placement refers to implants that are positioned beneath the pectoral muscle. The recovery from this type of implant placement may be slightly more uncomfortable due to the stretching of the muscle,but the implant is less likely to interfere with mammography and results in a very natural appearance.

Emily Mersman, MMS, PA-C joined our team as a Laser & Injection Specialist in 2013. Emily has a special interest in Plastic Surgery and non-invasive aesthetic medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Purdue University and obtained her Masters of Medical Science and Physician Assistant Studies degree from Midwestern University in Arizona. She has been a practicing physician assistant since 2007 with a diverse background in Orthopedic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine. Throughout her practice she has achieved a considerable number of advanced certifications through continued education and held memberships with the AAPA & AASPA.

Founder Emeritus, Dr. Telman was Board-Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and successfully practiced for many years in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Brow Lift
This depends entirely on your individual needs and preferences. If you do not have extensive wrinkling and furrowing of the brow, you may want to opt for the endoscopic brow lift. If you do have extensive problems with the brow area, and you want more dramatic results from the procedure, you may want to choose the open brow lift. As always, it is wise to discuss your goals and your expectations with your plastic surgeon beforehand.

Blepharoplasty
Eyelid Liftâ€“ Blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift- is a procedure designed to remove and reposition the fat, muscle, and skin surrounding the eye to create a tighter, more alert and youthful look. In some cases, when sagging of the eyelids is extreme, patients find that their eyesight is improved after blepharoplasty, due to the removal of the obstruction.
Abdominoplasty
The tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a procedure used to tighten lax stomach muscles and remove excess skin from the abdomen.
Nose Surgery
If youâ€™ve had a closed nose surgery, you will not have any visible scarring at all. If youâ€™ve had an open nose surgery, you will have a small scar on the underside of the nose, across the columella (the area between your nostrils). This scar is usually very minor, and is not visible in normal circumstances.

Laser Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is a procedure with few risks, but it is important to carefully evaluate any risk factors, and to understand what the procedure can do, and what it canâ€™t. Because laser resurfacing only works on the outer layers of skin, it is not effective for deep scars or deep wrinkles.
Gynecomastia
A male breast reduction (gynecomastia) is a surgical procedure that removes fat and or glandular tissue from the breasts and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a chest that is flatter, firmer, and better contoured. Cosmetic Surgery
Full payment for cosmetic surgery is required 14 days prior to any scheduled procedure. A deposit of 25% of your total procedure cost or at least $1000 will be charged at the time your surgical appointment is scheduled.
Bariatric Surgery
This patient is a 48 year old woman (5â€™4â€ 134 lbs) who lost a great amount of weight after undergoing bariatric surgery. She had significant skin laxity, and was quite frustrated with the appearance of her midsection. She opted to undergo a complete abdominoplasty with repair of muscle separation, as well as some liposuction of the flanks (love handles).
Forehead Lift
This female complained of aging effects on her face. She was concerned with loose skin of her eyelids, wrinkles between her eyebrows as well as lax skin of her face and neck. She underwent a full facelift, endoscopic forehead lift and upper/lower blepharoplasty. The wrinkles around her mouth were resurfaced with a laser. She has a natural rejuvenated appearance with a non-operated look.

Psoriasis
Laser resurfacing is not usually recommended for patients who have used Accutane in the past two years, or for anyone suffering from skin eruptions such as herpes, psoriasis, or eczema. Patients who are susceptible to excessive scarring or keloids should inform their practitioner and discuss whether the procedure is appropriate.
