An abdominal ultrasound is done to view the organs and structures in the abdomen, specifically the abdominal aorta, the major blood vessel that supplies blood to the body.
MRI
An implantable loop recorder is invisible and doesn’t interfere with your daily activities. It has no patches or wires, and you don’t have to worry about getting the device wet while bathing or swimming. These devices are supposed to be safe for use during a medical imaging procedure called magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), but let your doctor know about your implant before you schedule such a test.

The day of the test the staff will discuss the test, have you sign a consent form, and record your height and weight. Staff will start an IV and administer an injection of the radioisotope (nuclear medicine). It is not a dye and will not make you feel differently.
Computed Tomography
Subclavian arteries can also have plaque buildup within them which results in restricting blood flow. If there is a suspicion you could have a blockage in the subclavian arteries, a CT Scan or angiogram will be ordered.
