Overall

My glass top stove burst. I thought it was odd, but when repairman was here, he did tell me it happens. I must say, he was one of the nicest gentleman I have ever met, very pleasant. Did a fantastic job. I was very impressed with Advanced Appliance and their repairman "Bart." I must say I read the reviews below and think it is sad to give a company bad rating because they have a service charge. People must understand that no company comes out for free to look at something. It takes gas, an employee and overhead. They cannot stay in business doing "free" service calls. I am sure no one that said that would go to someones house if they ran business for "free." If you are a customer, please do not be detered from using Advanced Appliance from the below reviews. I think when people do a good job it should be recognized, it is sad that it is usually the few "bad" things that happen that gets posted. I would highly recommend them.

Called in that our dryer was t...

Called in that our dryer was taking several hours to dry a load of clothes. They set up appointment for the next day. They did not suggest that we check the vents nor did they inform us that there is a $69.00 charge for them to come out even if they do not do anything. Tech was here for no more than 10 minutes and told me that we needed to call another company to come out and clean vent system that they would not do that and that I would need to give him the $69 for doing nothing. I would understand the charge if I had refused service but they could not even do the repair and I still had to pay for NOTHING. Unreal. I will not use them again!!! Very poor customer service in my opinion.

Can I give them a 0 star? Totally agree on misdiagnosis problem and then followed up with extremely rude customer service. The technician Jason actually hung up on me! Jenn-Air fridge warranty issue and they claimed was not under warranty, replaced a part that did not need replacing and charged me over $200. What they did not know was that I had another appliance technician spend 2 hours diagnosing it and documented everything. Whirpool themselves even disagreed with the way Advanced handled it. These people did not handle my situation ethically or honestly and are indignant once you challenge their 'expert' technicians and hit them with facts. Rest assured any positive feedback on here are employees and avoid these people at all cost!

Not Knowledgeable with incorrect diagnoses!

Rip-off: I was recommended by Jenn-Air to have this company to come and repair my fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. The first repair man they sent out was very rough with my fridge and shaking it up and down. He said it was a filter problem. However after he left my fridge that was originally quiet and the only problem I had was the ice maker not working. Well after he left the fridge became louder and wouldn't freeze my food. The microwave was diagnosed as the magnetron needed to be replaced. The part was covered under warranty, but today they show up saying that not only that magnetron needed fixing but now we found an additional problem! Oh and not to mention now my fridge that I paid 3K for in 2008 they are saying is leaking anti-freeze and can not be fixed. This company is a joke and rip-off! And I feel taken advantage of! Try to research other companies.

Advanced Appliance did a wonderful, professional job on my range top. Jason, the tech that came to my house, was pleasant and very knowledgable.

I would and will recommend Advanced Appliance to anyone.

The office staff was fantastic...

The office staff was fantastic about scheduling my appointment. They were very friendly and willing to work with my schedule. As for the technician , he was very poliet and knowledgable about my appliance. I would recommend this company to anyone needing an appliance repair. Their prices are very reasonable as well. Thank you for the GREAT work that was provided from all aspects.

Absolutely Horrible

I made the initial call to Advanced Appliance on April 30, 2010. Today is May 17, 2010 and my refrigerator is still unrepaired! There have been several phone calls to complain about the service that I have recieved and numerous parts that been ordered that don't fit! On top of that I have stated my work schedule to the company numerous times and the only time that they can come out is on the days that I work. I would have called another company weeks ago, but I have already invested $65.00 for the original service call! It has been a complete waste of time and money dealing with this company!

They do not have an hourly charge.



They charge per task what they deem to be "market" price for their "expertise"



They charge $ 65 to come you your house no matter what plus parts and labor.



Their $ 65 does not come out of the labor charge if they do any work that is in addition.



Their labor rate to repair a washing machine was $ 80 for about 1/2 hours worth of work.



We would have been better off buying a new washer for what they charged to repair our 5 yr old washing machine.

Great company. My dryer is 20 years old and was making a noise. It would have been easy for him to say just buy a new dryer, but he took the time to repair it and the cost was very reasonable. He took great care not to damage my floor and cleaned up after himself. Very professional. Would highly recommend them.

Rip Off

Hi:



The technician came to repair my washer and gave me the estimate of $900 to fix my Whirlpool front loader washer. He took $65 to just give me estimate.



I opened up the washer myself and removed the comb stuck in the drain pipe! The technician did not even bother to find the exact cause of the noise coming from the back of the washer. He wanted to replace the tumbler.



I would never use their service.
