Sundance Hospital Dallas

This place is a nightmare. My adult daughter is trapped there right now because they haven't let her see the doctor assigned to her after being there 5 days so far. She is completely stable and they are not adjusting her meds. My daughter might have pneumonia and has had a horrible cough, chest pains, and fevers and they haven't even given her Advil when she asked. The staff treats the patients terribly. They also let one patient get into 2 fist fights, throw a chair, and scream in my daughter's face that she was going to kill her. My husband and I think they are keeping her for the insurance money. Please do not go here, choose a different hospital.

I ha a great experience with this hospital. The staff I interacted with was very professional and kind. The facility could be better, but overall, it was better than a lot of hospitals I have been to in the past.

As a clinical therapist they place you in groups with 15+ in the adolescent groups and 18+ in the 5-8 yr old groups; most of the time without help b/c they won't replace the techs that quit or get fired. You will not grow professionally and there is no help when you ask questions (especially in Arlington). There is a lot of drama (fights between staff and total lack of management/supervision, esp in Arlington) and the environment is so far from professional that I wouldn't go back even if they doubled my salary, lots of favoritism. As a therapist they will not back you up when parents complain or over reach their boundaries and they rarely get you help when your groups are out of control due to large enrolment of patients. The doctors/Owners rarely listen to your feedback and if you ask questions and seek advice for clarity to give to the patient caregivers they take it as an attack and punish you.

I Was just discharged on 4/27. This "facility" needs to be inspected by the state. I wasn't even supposed to be admitted. I went in for a simple evaluation for addiction, and before I knew it I was being locked up like a prisoner. Please families out there steer clear of this place. There are many other places for loved ones. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

This place is a JOKE..... there are 2 receptionist who were kind to us (one was never wearing shoes, highly unprofessional if you ask me) the rest of them however were just cold and unfriendly..... please if anybody is in need of therapy DO NOT take your family to this location..... I not once in the time my child was there received a phone call from a doctor even though I requested a call be made to me I was informed by a therapist that the Doctors do not typically call the family what kind of B.S. is that???.... discharge is also a JOKE they said it would be about 20 min and it ended up taking almost 2 1/2 hours to be able to finally leave with my child. This place received a one star review due to the kind receptionists but other than that I would have given them 0 stars.... DO SOME RESERCH ON THIS PLACE AND ASK TO BE ALOUD TO SEE WHAT KIND OF A FACILITY IT IS FROM THE INTAKE ROOMS TO UPSTAIRS TO MAKE YOURSELF FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THE FACILITY BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER IN THERE. BUT I WILL SAY THE INTAKE ROOMS HAVE LITTLE TO BE DESIRED IF THATS WHAT THE PLACE FIRST IMPRESSION IS THEN WHAT IS THE REST OF THE PLACE LOOKING LIKE?????

My 8 year old son is in there right now For observation on changing his medication they decided to take him off the medication you supposed to be on without our permission and put them on propanol or something like that that turns people into zombies you know a perfect in and check them out and if they don't want to let him go the police will be called along with the lawyers there's lots of other bad reviews of this place I should a look at them first. I would give a 0 stars but it won't let me
