Twin Maple Orchards

We drove over two hours to Twin Maples Orchards from out of state and arrived at 5:15. We had called prior to the visit and were told the orchards closed at 6pm so we had enough time to pick a few apples when we arrived. However, when we arrived and asked what appeared to be the owner if we could start picking apples, she told us we couldn't because they were closing. We told her the current time (5:15) and asked when the orchards closed. She responded with "6:00". So....we said there still is 45 minutes. She told us they were cleaning up and we could not pick apples and to come back tomorrow. WE DROVE OVER TWO HOURS TO GET HERE. She was a VERY grouchy lady and I do NOT recommend coming to these orchards especially with the variety of orchards around like Jollay and even some orchards in northern Indiana. No one even greeted us when we arrived as well. Go elsewhere for your autumn apple festivities.
