Renaissance Care Center

I have to update my review that I left her in 2012 regarding the care here at Renassaince Nursing Home & Rehab.
While there are not very many options to a GOOD nursing home for your loved one for either long term or short term care I have to say that in barely in one year that the nursing staff needs to approve in their care that they do not provide after you leave your love one in their hands for care.
It has been the families challenge to watch over the care to our special family member who lives mostly in and out of the Denton Hospitals because the nurse staff does not follow the doctors orders to the needs that are required to give in order for her to stay well.
It is very difficult to take doctors orders back to the nurse staff and ask please make sure these orders are followed per the doctor orders exactly as he has them written or she will be back in hospital in less than a week if they are not followed. The nurse barely makes acknowledgement that you are standing at the nurses desk after a long afternoon at the doctors office where tests were completed and orders have been explained in simple written form to follow.
HORRIBLE is how I would now revise the care at Renassaince Nursing Home.
Upper Staff Management tell you what you want to hear and go and request for their nurses to comply to the families request per physicians orders. The nurse then becomes Rude and abrupt along with her "groupies" after visually noticing you are no longer acceptable to her and your loved one will now not be taken care of after you leave and go home!
I am sorry but I had to up date the review left in October 2012 from excellent to very HORRIBLE!

My mother has been at this nursing home for a few months now and I am very impressed with the Administrator and the wonderful health care from the nurses and staff.
The facility is very clean throughout the building! I would highly recommend Renaissance Care Center for someone looking for quality care for a family member.
