Dr. Weinstein is our Hero

My wife and I were both 40 years old when we met. We talked about having children together. We got married in July 2008 and my wife got pregnant a few weeks later.

That pregnancy was ectopic very dangerous. My wife recovered and got pregnant again in April 2009. That pregnancy failed after about 6 weeks.

My wife wanted to know if she still have a baby at her age or not. A family friend recommended Dr. Weinstein.

His approach was extremely positive and motivating.

Dr. Weinstein did some tests and concluded that my wife was indeed able to have a baby.

In July 2009 she was pregnant again and now under Dr.Weinsteins care.

I was there at almost every appointment and I really liked the way my wife was being cared for.

I watched Dr. Weinstein deliver my son on March 10th 2010. My wife and I are extremely happy with Dr. Weinstein and everyone in his office.

These people are truly dedicated professionals.

What a pleasure to talk with

Dr. Weinstein has been my doctor for 4 years. He is funny, tells great stories about his children but most importantly he listens and addresses my problems immediately. He always calls back and his nurse always calls me with my results. He takes care of all my medical problems so I do not have to miss work to see another doctor as my primary care doctor. My 2 daughters see him also. I have always been pleased with the care I have received.

He is also very smart, his nurse told me he graduated high school at 16 yaers ols and had cancer when he was younger. It explains alot about him.

Compassionate, Thorough & Most Importantly Saved My Life

I moved to McKinney, Texas last year and had seen another gynecologist for my annual exam. At that time, I told her I was always tired. She did not listen; in fact, she was in the room with me for maybe 5 minutes doing an exam and Pap smear. She made me wait 1.5 hours in one of those flimsy gowns before she came into see to me and did not even listen to what I said.

Earlier this year I saw an ad for Dr, Weinstein in Living Magazine so I decided to try a male gynecologist. I could see he was a family man from the photos and I liked what he said about his approach to medicine. I came to his office and the staff was great from the front office person to his nurse, Nydia.

He took me in his office and discussed my problems; turns out, I have heavier than normal periods. Dr. Weinstein did a complete physical exam and lab workup including a rectal exam, which was positive for blood and determined I, had Iron deficiency anemia, as well as a fibroid uterus.

He immediately referred me to a GI doctor who performed an evaluation of my intestine within 2 weeks. Turns out, I had four precancerous polyps, which I had removed, and he started me on iron. My vaginal bleeding continued so he did an ultrasound and biopsy. Which showed the location of the fibroids, which he explained were not likely cancerous. He offered medicine to control the bleeding as well as an endometrial ablation and lastly a DaVinci Robot-Assisted Hysterectomy. He gave me written info about each and even invited my husband to come to another visit if there were any questions,

My husband came with me and we decided on hysterectomy as I was finished having children. He was very detailed about the risks and benefits. I had a robot-assisted hysterectomy on a Thursday, went home on Friday. Very little pain and I went back to work in 2 weeks.

It has been 2 months and I realize both the anemia and bleeding were really affecting my life and that Dr. Weinstein sending me to the colon doctor saved me from getting colon cancer. I thank god for helping me find him.

Thanks again Dr. Weinstein, My entire family appreciates your help. I wish you continued success with your new practice in Frisco.

Thank You, Dr. Weinstein

I had three miscarriages in a row when Barry and I relocated from Maryland and I had not seen a doctor in 2 years. The trauma and unanswered questions about my miscarriages made me very angry and sad. When I started my new nursing job at the hospital, I had made a few good friends. One of them had suggested I at least go for a checkup.

She recommended Dr. Weinstein as she had seen him several times and had helped her with a gynecology problem, she said “he is very detailed and thorough and very easy to talk with.” So, I made an appt for a check-up. First thing that shocked me was how pleasant the staff was but more importantly the nurse took my blood pressure and pulse then escorted me to his office to talk with him. In all my years of seeing a gynecologist it was, get naked put on your gown and the doctor will be into see you.

Anyway, I went to his office where he talked to me about my current problems, asked me about the miscarriages, how I was doing from a psychological standpoint and how my relationship was with my husband, Barry, given the stress of the previous years.

He asked if I would give him the opportunity to review my records and see if he could help. He also explained the potential causes for the miscarriages and gave me a pamphlet to review about the evaluation of my problem. I agreed. He also asked me to bring Barry next time. The exam he did was the most gentle I had had in my entire life, I think he distracted me by telling funny stories about his family and before I knew it, it was over.

He met with Barry and me later in the month and we agreed to some testing that had not been previously ordered. Turns out, I have a blood disorder that predisposes to miscarriage. Dr. W told me a daily injection from early in a pregnancy should prevent a miscarriage. Sure enough 3 months later I am pregnant and very nervous. Dr. W started me on the medication, reassured me throughout, sent me for a fancy ultrasound and monitored me closely throughout the pregnancy. Claudia was born 1 year ago on 2-6-09. It was one of the most incredible days in my life. It was just Barry and me at the delivery with the entire family outside waiting.

It could not have gone better. I saw Dr. Weinstein for my yearly in his new Frisco office last week, he asked for pictures of Claudia and how everyone was doing and I was reminded how wonderful, caring and a great person Dr. Weinstein is. I write this note now while Claudia naps reminded of how lucky I am that god pointed us to him.

Thank you again Dr. Weinstein. I wish you and your family all the happiness you brought to our family and more.

Smart. Compassionate Doctor

My husband and I brought my mother to see Dr. Weinstein after 4 months of continuous bleeding. She had seen 3 other OB/GYN's in Dallas, her PCP and all said there was nothing they could do as she was a Jehovah's Witness. They were unwilling to do further testing which would require anesthesia because her blood count was so low. Yet they had no problem leaving her to bleed to death. Luckily I was referred to Dr. Weinstein by a friend who told us that if something was not done she was going to die. Something that was quite obvious to us. With the help of a very good anesthesiologist at Baylor, Dr. Weinstein was able to perform a simple procedure that told us my mother had cancer. She died several weeks later but I would like to thank Dr. Weinstein for his compassion and diligence in taking care of me and my family in putting my mother and the family at peace and for checking on us after her death. Dr. Weinstein you were a god send.

Awesome Doctor

I met Dr. Weinstein when he was covering call at the Baylor Frisco ER early in my pregnancy when I was having some bleeding. Immediately I noticed his sincere concern for me and my baby so I started seeing him in his office. I had quite a few episodes of bleeding during the pregancy for what turned out to be some bleeding from the edge of my placenta but Dr. Weinstein was there for me and my husband. He is great at making you feel like a good friend or even a member of his own family. His nurse Nydia would call me up randomly to check on me when I was on bedrest. In the end, my birth experience was great. Dr. Weinstein was funny, reassuring and as always was looking out for me. He would relate his own family birth experiences and always offered down to earth answers .when I had questions. My little boy Sammy is the most precious thing to come into our lives and I thank god for bringing Dr. Weinstein to the ER that one night. I would recommend him to anyone.

I had always seen female OB/GYN's thinking they would be more understanding, but never again, his compassion and concern for me was genuine and something I have not seen in other doctors. I would recommend him to anyone.

My Son Jacobs Birth

My last delivery was horrible. Sam was delivered at Centennial Hospital by Cesearean Section after 6 hours of labor. My doctor never told me why I had a C/S. She made me get induced because she said the baby was getting to big. The nurses were rude my doctor never explained what was going on and then Sammy weighed only 7 pounds 1 ounce. I wanted to have my next baby vaginally if possible but I could not find anyone until I ran into one of my old friends who recommended Dr. Weinstein. She told me she had a similar experience but when it came time for her second child she asked some of her nurse friends and they recommended Dr. Weinstein. He was very kind and explained my options to me. My husband and I immediately took to him, he is very down to earth and straightforward. He also has kids one who is Sammy's age. I went into labor at 4 PM and Dr. Weinstein met us at the hospital. I got an Epidural immediately and delivered Jacob 5 hours later. The nurses were so nice at Baylor Frisco. I would recommend Dr. Weinstein to anyone, he is a great doctor and was a good friend to us throught the pregnancy.
