I highly recommend Safari Sensory Integration Center. I think the hardest part for a parent to hear from a kindergarten school teacher and school staff is that your child might be autistic. I was scared for the future of my son and when asking the school what I could do, they stated we are great parents and that he was reaching his full potential. However, my gut feeling was that he needed more. My son would not eat food hot or even warm. We would put his food in the freezer after heating it to cool it down. He also could not handle luke-warm baths. A friend recommended Elsabe to us. It was obvious that speech therapy at school was not enough and doing my research I learned that the sooner we started some type of occupational therapy the better chance my son would have at reaching his full potential. This was over 2 years ago. It was hard to admit we needed help, but after 3 weeks with Elsabe my son started to transform. He began asking for his food hot, he began hugging us---you can only imagine my heart when he began to initiate "I love you" to me and his father. My son will always be on the spectrum, however Elsabe has taught us how to help our son reach his full potential to help him be more tolerate to loud sounds, bruised knees from soccer practice, and help him build his confidence back up. His differences are no longer differences, but actually assets. It takes a special therapist to do this. My husband and I have seen other therapies and all our beneficial, however we feel that Elsabe gave us the best results and best chance at helping our son. We saw the biggest difference in his tolerance and mannerisms and happy smiles come to light after attending her therapies. We originally only planned to go to therapy for a few months. After about a year out of therapy we noticed our son was encountering new issues such as emotional sensitivity and intolerance to loud shouts such as coaching encouragement on the field. We knew this was another sign of his sensory perception being compromised and immediately contacted Safari Center again. As we returned back Elsabe listened to our concerns and worked with our son, integrating new therapies and activities for our son. Again within 3 weeks we saw our son become more tolerate of loud sounds and his emotional well being began to rebuild. Elsabe gave us strategies to use with our son, and again we felt like good parents. Elsabe and her staff have gone above and beyond in helping our family become a family. Who knew that the therapy at Safari Center would change our son to want to hug and talk more to us! We are forever grateful to Elsbe and her staff. I highly recommend her center.
I first visited Nielson Physical Therapy years ago when I had neck problems and they were great! I am back after a couple of kids later for my back pain! They are great with helping me focus on techniques to alleviate strain on my back. Larry, Tyra and the rest of the staff are as wonderful now as they were then. Thanks!
Following knee replacement surgery, I went to Larry Nielson for therapy. He was so kind and attentive, allowing me to have a good recovery. The space is very attractive, featuring large windows, with views of nice green garden. All of his staff is friendly and helpful. This has been an experience.
