I will never recommend the Carpet House to anyone. They do not have a unique product so where they should shine is their customer service and installation. Both are a complete failure. Getting a response from the “design team” is a week long (or more) process. The designer missed a very key element in our shower design and isn’t willing to eat $650ish dollars to correct it and make the customer happy. Where hardwood transitioned to tile, the installers used a HUGE threshold (the kind you would have to pick a vacuum up and over... like where tile meets laminate in an old house and you know the job wasn’t done right), and now wants to charge us $1000 to do it the right way (seamless transition from the wood to tile). I wish service providers took more care and had more respect for their customers...and that pride in one’s work still existed. While the Carpet Shop may have the cornerstone in the local market, I urge everyone to shop elsewhere. We spent approximately $28,000 here during the build of our new home and will never give them another dollar.

The Carpet House has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! They are incredibly incompetent and rude. An independent flooring inspector evaluated my flooring in my new house because The Carpet House refused to do anything about the expansion and buckling. In fact, The Carpet House senior representative told me it was my furniture’s fault! Actually the installation was the problem. The issues were: 1) The flooring was not climitized. 2) Not enough transitions were used. 3) No room for expansion at the walls was provided. 4) The stair rails were installed on top of the “floating” floor. 5) Shoe molding was nailed onto the “floating” floor.

The Carpet House primarily does business with builders. I caution anyone having a new house built in which the builder insists on using The Carpet House.

Left exposed tacks in all doorways! My wife and 4yo daughter both stepped on tacks and punctured their feet. My wife's accident caused serious bleeding. The service manager's answer to this was, "thats how its supposed to be." After a big sigh he said, "I guess we can send someone out there for a service call." Wound up pulling up the carpet and fixing it myself. The installers also marked up freshly painted walls and were 1 1/2 hrs late for their appointment.

First off, I paid 1/2 the money down to have hardwood floors installed. I gave the salesmen my credit card information and told him to not store my credit card information. By law, companies are not allowed to store this information. But low and behold before the job was done and without my consent the salesman, who must have had my card information in his briefcase for 3 weeks decided to run the balance on my card ($3100 plus). Excuse me..jobs not done and we're not talking about $50,,,this company should be investigated for being non-PCI compliant. A one day actually took three plus two Saturday mornings! So I had to miss work for the 3 days and waste my entire Saturday mornings for two weeks in a row, which they could care less. I could go on and on, but just RUN RUN as fast as you can away from this company! They only care about their profit - not about customer satisfaction or quality work.

They seem to have a nice showroom, and I was interested in having them give me an estimate for a large flooring job in my house. However, I went to this store twice and none of the sales people could be bothered to speak to me. The first time I caught a sales guy as he was hurrying out the door, and he told me I could wait a half hour to talk with another salesman, or I could go into the back and hunt down the sales manager. I proceeded to walk around the store for 15 minutes and saw no one. The next time, I walked in the front door and immediately saw a man and woman at a desk that didn't acknowledge me at all. I walked around the store a while, and while the sales guys there didn't look busy, they were all talking to each other and didn't acknowledge me. After nobody spoke to me after several minutes, I walked out. I looked right at the woman at the front desk, and she just looked at me and said nothing. I guess they don't want my business.

Terrible!!!!

Terrible service!!! This company is all about making a quick dollar and have no concern for the customer. I was cussed out by one of the carpet installers because I didn't like his work. The seems were very noticable and I still had to pay and they never came back to correct the problem. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE!!! There are much better companies out there who accomodate the customer and not just the company.
