Saw Dr. Miller in 2010 & made her aware of my multiple autoimmune issues. For my 1-year check-up, I informed Allergy dept that both my hubby & I lost our jobs to economic budget cuts the month before & were financially strapped due to $350/month COBRA. During appt, Dr. Miller suddenly seem “concerned” about autoimmune issues (to impress the resident-in-training w/ her that day) & she ordered $3,000 in labs w/out FIRST checking w/my insurance to see if tests would be covered, or how much I would have to pay. If I had been told in advance the cost of tests, I would have refused, but I was never given a choice! The acct stmts stopped for 10 months, so I thought Dr. Miller took responsibility for her negligence in not getting prior authorization from insurance for these tests. Then we lost our home and the statements started up again. Told them we lost our home & have no money, but they sent us to collections! Steer clear of Dr. Miller unless you want to be financially r_a_p_e_d!!
