Precision Transmission Group

I been using Precision Transmission Group for over a year now and I’ve only have an issue with one 48RE transmission but it was resolved with no problems. It’s a stand up company and I will continue to us them for further rebuilts.

I purchased a transmission for my 2011 Chevy 1500 and after about 8 k miles unit started acted up, so I contacted PTG and they were prompt to resolve the issue with a local transmission shop and very knowledgeable. Since I have sent family members and friends to purchase transmissions from PTG.. Also their information packets have all payout amounts in case of issues..Great CO.

Our shop purchased a transmission warrantied through Precision Transmission. The customer brought the pickup back to us because the reverse went out of the transmission. We called PTG and they sent a replacement. When we installed the new transmission, it did not work correctly. Instead of just sending us a different transmission, they sent a module for us to put in their transmission. This did not fix the transmission. We sent to a Chevrolet specialist, they found the wiring harness in the transmission had been pinched and damaged during PTG rebuild. We paid this garage to fix PTGs mistake. I sent them an invoice for our labor and for the cost of correcting their error. They refuse to pay. I received a check from them finally for less then it cost us to have the transmission repaired. They refuse to correct this issue. We will NEVER do business with them again. If anything comes in with their warranty will not take the work.

Transmission went out after about 10k miles. Dealer called warranty company and they claimed they never got the registration card so they would not honor their warranty. Tried to call myself and no one answers warranty line or returns calls. Stay away from these guys.
