I live in Haltom and eat here all the time. The food is great and the happy Chinese guy there still rocks. Delivery comes steaming hot.

I stopped in for lunch with my fiance and this is by far the best Chinese restaurant around. Friendly staff huge portions and fair price highly recommend this restaurant

Very good food. I love the egg rolls. Once I ordered for delivery (orange beef) and they gave me orange chicken. They man told me that I can get the orange beef for free next time I ordered. When I went to order he said he didn't remember and told me that he'd give me half off. I gave them another chance and ordered a big order and that I was going to pick it up. The man over charged me by two dollars. I wanted a small red sauce and he gave me a big one and he over charged me. I should have checked what I ordered and add up how much it was plus tax. A good business wouldn't cheat you. I called him and informed him and he said he'd give me $2. I told him to please right it down because last time he said he forgot. I went to order again and reminded him of the $2 he over charged me and I wanted it to come off my order. He again said he forgot and he'd only give me $1 off. Very unethical and immoral business.

I will agree with the other reviewers that the staff and owner of Haltom Chinese are very friendly. However the atmoshpere and, more importantly, the food left something to be desired. I am a chinese food fanatic so I was very dissapointed to see that one of the main staples when it comes to Asian cuisine - the Jasmine rice aka sticky rice - tasted exactly like the fried rice, even conatining some egg. Personally I will not be going back but it was worth a shot.
