Overall

I would avoid this dentist if you have any other choices. The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful and I thought the hygienist did a wonderful job. Paul Kunch however did not.
When attempting to apply the local anesthesia for a common procedure he hit a nerve near my nose with the syringe needle. This caused me sharp pain that shot up behind my ear, I also saw a bright white flash(which may have been from me squeezing my eyes so tight) and involuntarily jerked my leg from the extreme pain, tears immediately started from both eyes. This was hours ago and I still have some pain behind my ear. I called my doctors office and was told that he most likely hit a nerve, there shouldn't be any permanent damage and the pain should subside soon(but may take a couple weeks). I have an appt to see them tomorrow.
Mr. Kunch got upset with me that I felt the pain and even more upset when I told him that whatever he did it was not normal for a common dental procedure. Instead of considering the possibility that something was not right he got defensive and extremely passive aggressive. He made multiple blatantly sarcastic comments about it "being all his fault", while I was still in the chair!
He then quickly and half heartily applied my new crown that I had already been fitted for but refused to do the fillings I was scheduled for also. I'm glad he refused. If I wouldn't have felt so intimidated by his attitude I would have requested he not do them prior to his refusal.
He left cement near the base of my new crown so now I have rough spots by my gum. He also never tested the bite after putting it in so it makes contact with the tooth below it now. I have scheduled an appt with another dentist to have this fixed as well as filed a complaint with my insurance. I will be withholding payment until I find out how much it cost me to fix.
