BEWARE THEY WILL INJURE YOUR PET! DO NOT USE GATEWAY PET GROOMING

This place is a mess and should be shutdown. I don't believe they own a pair of scissors because all my friends I spoke to that have gone there they have cut open there dogs.
I recieved my dog the day before going on vacation with a slice in his chest and they hand me my dog and said, "by the way we were shaving you dog and he had a scab and cut the scab off, we put liquid bandaid on the cut because he was bleeding".
Can you believe that? I think the vet next door moved because they were embarrassed to be next to this place.
They never discounted us our money and charged full price even know we have been treating his cut for two weeks.
I have reported this BUTCHER SHOP to the state. What a shame!
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE> Also if you have a small dog beware. They have a pitbull running loose in the building.

They literally shaved our dogs everything, eye lashes, everything down to there skin. I could of done a better job at home without injury my dog.
I never write reviews but want to warn people of this horror house.

As of June 2015 they do a great job. Their price is fair and they cater to you pet. they just shaved my German Shepherd. He looks great and was not hurt at all. He had been groomed for over 5 years so he is calm. I prefer Gateway to over the big stores that don't care for your dog. The big stores are all about the money and pay their employees small wages. That results in poor care for you pet. Gateway is a family owned business, so the employees do care about return business. As a result your pet and you receive a better service.

I dropped my dog off, Lilley, off at Gateway Pet Grooming as I was told this was a wonderful place by my vet. I received a phone call about an hour after dropping her off from the groomers to let me know that as they were shaving her they "accidently" cut her dew claw off with the shaver. They went on to tell me not to worry that she didnt feel a thing and didnt act like it even hurt. I was furious. I asked if she was bleeding and they said yes, but they had wrapped a paper towel around her foot, A PAPER TOWEL, but they were calling to ask what vet I would like them to carry her to, because she probably needed stitches....STITCHES BUT IT DIDNT HURT??...RIGHT!!! This place is RIGHT beside a vet....Why didnt they just take her there. I found out that she had sat there for more than 30 minutes before they even called to tell me this. (This poor dog) I honestly did not know what to say....I was speechless... They told me not to worry that the grooming was on them...Ya think?? I was so angry when I went to pick her up. They seemed to really not care, like it was just another thing THAT THEY CUT MY DOGS TOE OFF! I would recommend totally avoiding this place. If you are that desperate to get your dog groomed go buy some clippers.
