        When you come into our store at Florence Carpet and Tile, you will find the largest selection of floor covering in Eastern South Carolina, along with a knowledgeable sales staff to assist you with your floor covering or kitchen and bath needs. We strive to create a warm, comfortable and friendly atmosphere in which to shop. You might be surprised that we typically have more questions for you than you will for us. We believe it is our job to fully understand your current floor covering needs before we recommend a value-based solution for you. Accordingly, we take the time to ask you what is on the floor currently, what the area adjoins, what is sitting on the floor, and many other functional and lifestyle questions. We like to say that we are not here to sell you something, but rather we are here to utilize our years of expertise and share our knowledge with you so that you can make the most informed decision possible. Our flooring consultation, measuring and quoting services are free of charge, by the way. When we opened our doors in 1964, national home improvement “big box” stores didn’t exist, nor were there any other specialty floor covering stores in the Pee Dee. Because we have been in business for over a half-century, we have legacy relationships with the national floor covering manufacturers. Equally important, we have many brands and products unique to the area, and we are the exclusive dealer in the Pee Dee for a large percentage of our selection. We are not a newcomer to any of the products that we sell, including floor covering, cabinets, and counter tops. Making the decision to purchase floor covering for your home is not one to be taken lightly – in fact it is on average the 3rd largest purchase decision that you will have to make. In addition, the nature of the purchase makes it one that you will have to live with for many years. Because of that, it is important to make the right decision with the assistance of people who are knowledgeable, trained, and invested in making sure you will be satisfied with your choice 2, 5 and 10+ years from now. Interestingly, there are many homes in Florence that still have flooring in them that we installed in the 1960’s. No other retail outlet can make that claim. While we regularly have special pricing from manufacturers that we pass on to our customers, you will not see any “today only” specials or “too good to be true” pricing in our store. Neither will you find our store stuffy or pretentious. We take our mission much more seriously that that, and believe that a floor covering purchase decision should not be made on an impulse or based on a passing fad. We can work with any budget by delivering good value for your dollar. In addition, we offer warranties unique to the area, including a 90-day no-questions-asked satisfaction guarantee on some of our products that will reduce the stress factor for you. Just ask your product advisor for details. These are just a few examples of our commitment to helping you make the best decision possible in a friendly, stress-free manner.
