Family Practice

Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging is a non-invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Ultrasound imaging, also called ultrasound scanning or sonography, involves exposing part of the body to high frequency sound waves to produce images of specific organs, tissues, and blood vessels. Because ultrasound images are captured in real time, they show the structure and movement of the bodyâ€™s internal organs.
MRI
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical diagnostic that is non-invasive and helps physicians treat and diagnose medical conditions. MRI imaging uses magnetic fields, radio frequency pulses and a computer to produce detailed pictures of bone, organs and soft internal body structures. MRI does not use ionizing radiations (x-ray).

Dr. Avram joined Imaging Consultants of Findlay in 2017. Dr. Avram practices diagnostic radiology and breast related imaging. She resides in Holland, Ohio with her husband and their two daughters. She enjoys family trips, spending time with friends, cooking and reading.

Nuclear medicine imaging procedures are noninvasive and, with the exception of intravenous injections, are usually painless medical tests that help physicians diagnose medical conditions. Nuclear medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose or treat a variety of diseases, including many types of cancers, heart disease and certain other abnormalities within the body.
Mammography
Mammography is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system to examine breasts. A mammography exam, called a mammogram, is used to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases in women. Mammograms are used as a screening tool to detect early breast cancer in women experiencing no symptoms and to detect and diagnose breast disease in women experiencing symptoms such as a lump, pain or nipple discharge. Mammography plays a central part in early detection of breast cancers because it can show changes in the breast up to two years before a patient or physician can feel them.
Computed Tomography
Computed Tomography (CT) is a non-invasive medical test that helps a physician treat and diagnose medical conditions. A CT, or sometimes called CAT scan, is an image that combines special x-ray equipment with sophisticated computers to produce multiple images of the inside of the body.

Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology (IR) is a subspecialty of radiology in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using image guidance. Some of these procedures are done for purely diagnostic purposes (e.g. angiogram), while others are done for treatment purposes, which are usually done with needles or other tiny instruments like small tubes called catheters. The images provide road maps that allow the Interventional Radiologist to guide these instruments through the body to the areas containing diseases.
