Welcome to Academy Pet Hospital!;Academy Pet Hospital originally opened in June of 1978 as Tallywood Animal Hospital. In 1992, the practice was officially renamed and incorporated as Academy Pet Hospital. In order to meet the needs of our growing client base and to better serve our patients, we relocated to our current location at 200 Owen Dr. on February 14, 2000 with the goal of providing the people and pets of Fayetteville and Cumberland County with the highest quality veterinary care available. The hospital is housed in a building that was designed by Dr. Lehr and constructed from the ground up. It is fully outfitted with high quality equipment, allowing us to offer up to date treatment options as part of our comprehensive list of veterinary services.;We are a full service veterinary clinic serving the animal health care needs of dogs, cats, pocket pets and birds. Our services range from traditional medical, dental, surgical and diagnostic care to alternative medicine options, such as acupuncture, laser therapy and Chinese herbal medicine to professional grooming and full service boarding. We believe that giving our clients access to such a wide variety of treatment options allows them to provide more complete and effective care for their cherished animal companions.;Most importantly beyond the extensive list of veterinary services we offer Academy Pet Hospital is built on a foundation of compassionate care and personalized attention. First class from the time you walk in the door. The staff is polite, friendly, compassionate, and on target. I have a senior Shih Tzu who has been from vet to vet throughout Fayetteville getting no results. Dr Johnson addressed his issue and to date he is doing fantastic. She connected and understood my anxiety and fears. This hospital sets a Gold standard and delivers.

Overall

We have been taking our dog here for a while, and they are always friendly. Never feel pressured to put her on a variety of medications. We also use them for boarding.
