General Info: The Farmington Fire Department provides fire suppression and rescue services. The department offers mitigation of and recovery from a variety of conditions that adversely threaten the safety of the public. The department s primary operations consist of confining and extinguishing various types of fires. As an extension of the department s rescue services, it also provides pre-hospital, emergency medical care. In addition, it controls spills and incidents involving hazardous materials, participates in campaigns for community awareness regarding fire safety. The Farmington Fire Department is headquartered in Farmington, N.Y.
