LCNB National Bank

Last year I opened a checking account with LCNB National Bank and was offered a complementary year of safe deposit box service. I was also offered complementary starter checks I believe. I never order checks as I have no use for them and never write them. In the past 12 years I may have written 2 checks total.

I made the initial deposits into the account and when I went to check my accounts I was shocked to find out the account was closed, over drafted, and I had been charged for checks which were worthless because the accounts were closed. This all happened within a span of maybe 7 days.

I contacted several employees of the bank who all had the attitude that I would pay and they could not careless about the problems. I even managed at one point to contact the "vice president" of the bank who also had the attitude that they could victimize me and there would be no consequences because they were a bank and I was just a lowly customer who had $50 in his checking account which they effectively stole.

Today 1 year later my money has not been returned and I am receiving demand letters from the bank for the safe deposit box that was also closed a year ago. I returned the keys to the branch and the institution informed me the box had been closed because the accounts were closed. She openly laughed at me during the conversation and took great joy in the misery that she was calling me and laughed even harder when I informed her that I would be taking legal action against the bank.

I would appreciate government intervention in this matter not only to rectify my situation but also to begin an audit on this institutions business practice to investigate if this type of treatment is common practice institution wide as this does not benefit consumers best interest and is excepable of financial institutions.
