Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride strengthens tooth enamel, making it more resistant to decay. Â Toothpaste and municipal water supplies provide a good baseline of protection, but professionally applied topical fluoride (in the form of a varnish or a foam) gives your child’s teeth even more protection at the enamel surface where decay begins.
Dental Sealants
When permanent molars first appear in children’s mouths, they are particularly prone to decay. Â Sealants provide protection for these critical teeth that may need to last for 90 years or more! Â After thoroughly cleaning the enamel and preparing the surface for bonding, a thin layer of resin is applied to the biting surfaces of the teeth. This Â resin fills the small crevices and pits in the enamel surface and is cured in place there, sealing out food particles and bacterial plaque that cause decay. Â Sealants can also be used on other susceptible teeth in children and Â adults.

Fillings
Resin Composite
One of the most common types of dental restorations are called fillings. These are different types of materials that are placed in teeth to fill cavities and repair small defects in teeth. The most common types are silver amalgam and tooth-colored resin composite.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are used on front teeth to cover discolored surfaces and fill small spaces. These are one of the most common â€œestheticâ€ restorations used when a person wants to change their smile. Similar to an artificial fingernail, they go on the front and chewing edge of a tooth to change the color and shape and sometimes to improve function.
Crowns
Crowns or â€œcapsâ€ are covers that go over an entire tooth. They are used when a filling, a porcelain veneer, an inlay, orÂ an onlay will not do the job. They come in various materials, sometimes with a metal coping or thimble covered with porcelain and sometimes without metal, depending on the situation and need for strength and cosmetic demands. Gold crowns are the strongest and most long lasting, and are used often on back teeth where strength is most critical and cosmetics needs are minimal.

Dentures
Dental implants have revolutionized the way we think about tooth replacement in dentistry. Â Implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth with cosmetics and function that rival natural teeth. Â They are also used effectively to support bridges for multiple missing teeth, and can even replace a complete arch of teeth, eliminating the need for a removable complete denture. Â Our team works with dental laboratories, oral surgeons, and periodontists to ensure the best possible outcomes when implants are incorporated in a treatment plan by guiding the process from the start and designing and placing the final tooth replacements.

Dental Implants
Dentures are removable tooth replacements. Â Complete dentures replace an entire arch (all the upper teeth or lower teeth). Â They are held in by suction (sometimes aided by adhesives) and can produce a very attractive smile, but do not feel or function like natural teeth. Â In some cases, dental implants can be used help hold dentures in place much more securely. Â Partial dentures are similar, but are used in combination with some retained natural teeth.
