Sachin Jain, MD is a glaucoma specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist at Arbor Centers for EyeCare. His interests include cataract and glaucoma surgery, including innovative minimally invasive glaucoma procedures. He also enjoys the diagnosis and medical management of glaucoma. He is a firm believer in personalized medicine and works to tailor treatment to each patients individual need. After growing up in Orland Park, Dr. Jain is thrilled to be practicing in his hometown. He thinks there is no greater gift than vision and believes preserving it is as important as restoring it. His passion for vision is only surpassed by his enthusiasm for providing excellent patient care. A perfectionist at heart, he strives to provide each patient with the best care possible. He prides himself on being up-to-date with the latest innovation in medical and surgical care of various eye conditions. Among his many honors and awards are the Andrew K.S. Ho Pharmacology Award, the Harry A. Warren Endowed Award, the Illinois General Assembly Scholarship Award, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Award for Academic Excellence and Achievement. He has been inducted in to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, an honor reserved for the top 15% of medical students in the country, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He has held leadership positions with several organizations, serving as co-president of the American Medical Association-Peoria Campus chapter, and the Alpha Omega Honor Society- UIC Chapter when in medical school. He completed his intern year at Macneal Hospital, where was awarded the Intern of the Year Award. He has published in several articles in peer-revised ophthalmology journals and has had posters presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting and the American Society of Retina Specialists Annual Meeting. Dr. Jain has volunteered with several organizations among them: Habitat for Humanity & Summer Institute for Medical Students.
