Ocular Surface Disease, also known as dry eye, can occur from certain medications, naturally by aging, or as a symptom arising from systemic diseases such as Sjogren’s syndrome, Rheumatoid arthritis, or Lupus. If you have a minor case of dry eye, you may be experiencing irritation, excessive tearing, fluctuating vision, and/or a burning sensation in your eyes or no symptoms at all. Excessive dry eyes, or dry eye symptoms that go untreated, have the potential to damage eye tissue, scar your corneas, and impair your vision.

For adults, we recommend scheduling an appointment once every two years to ensure your eyes are remaining healthy. If you have been diagnosed with an eye condition or ever have vision concerns, however, we recommend scheduling an appointment as soon as symptoms arise. Additionally, due to the nature of a medical device, contact lens wearers must have a corneal health evaluation annually to ensure continued use is appropriate.

Ursula is fabulous!! Her work with my daughter’s vision therapy was truly life changing! My daughter was basically failing third grade, with the teacher suggesting we test for ADHD since dyslexia tests were negative, when we heard about Evergreen Vision Clinic. Dr. Hauck diagnosed convergence insufficiency and tracking issues. After a summer of therapy, my daughter was back at grade level. She’s now a straight A honor student in high school.
