The Redwood Community Action Agency is a private, nonprofit organization that has been providing a wide range of services to low- and moderate-income residents of Humboldt County in California since 1980. The agency provides services to reduce poverty. It offers education, coordination, encouragement and support services to the homeless and disabled and low- to moderate-income clients. It has various divisions, such as youth, natural resources, family services and the Property Management and Energy Demonstration Center. Its family services division offers emergency shelters, transitional living facilities, children's programs, a multiple assistance center, case management and the Employment Readiness Demonstration Project. Its youth services bureau offers emergency shelters, street outreach and transitional living programs, the workforce Investment Act Program and a thrift store. Its natural resources services division offers services for sustainable development, protection and restoration of natural resources in northern California. The Redwood Community Action Agency is located in Eureka, Calif.
