Lakeside Auto Sales Inc

Gave one star only because I couldn't give 0. Traveled by bus 2 hours with the intent to purchase a car that I was told was in mint condition. I was told the car was accident free and no problems. The sales manager told me he would be in at 9am and could pick me up at the bus station. By my own choice I used UBER to get to the dealership. Arrived at 9:05 and the salesman I had been working with wasn't even there yet (he knew I was coming and I was in a hurry). A different salesman showed me the car and were they had fixed it . . . never was told it needed fixing. I took the car to a local mechanic and was told the car looked like it had been in multiple accidents. The mechanic was able to show me all the flaws in the work that had been done to the car. Needless to say I didn't purchases the car. I never received an apology or explanation for the lies I was told. I took a day off work and spent money on a bus ticket (both ways) The salesman I worked with was very dishonest and unethical leading me to the conclusion the entire dealership is the same. Do not waist your time on this place.

Crooks and liars! If you are crazy enough to buy a car... excuse me....LEMON from them, you should know that they steal your down payment and then sneakily put the amount into your car loan where you won't notice it unless you dig very deep into your paperwork which they will do anything to get out of giving you. They also flood their pages and even this page with 5 star reviews from the owner, his family and workers. Can you tell those 5 star reviews all sound like the same person wrote them or was told how to write them?

I'm sure anybody reading these reviews can tell that all these 5 stars are not actual customers. Oh, every single customer gave them 5 stars? Where are all the negative reviews? I've seen a lot more negative than positive but they disappear -poof! from their Facebook pages, etc. Their cars.com page is totally faked reviews by them. I was treated horribly by this dealer and his rude staff. They ripped me off badly knowing I am handicapped and needed a vehicle. They sold me the lemon to beat all lemons with no emergency brake and emissions leak and NUMEROUS other problems including a stalling problem. I stalled in traffic, while driving on heavily traveled streets. They sold me a very dangerous vehicle that had a brand new same month inspection sticker. It was filthy and they promised to "clean it up" and do a "safety inspection" before giving it to me. Then took me in the office and tried to make me sign all kinds of papers, and allow them to charge me almost a thousand dollars more for all kinds of extra crap I didn't want or need to pad the sale. The finance manager Josh didn't want me to look at what I was signing and got very angry and tried to intimidate me when I asked to look at what I was signing. That's when I noticed all the extra money for nothing he was trying to get me to sign for. When the car was "ready" it was in the exact same filthy condition as before and after their so called "safety inspection" they did not tell me about all the things that would never pass inspection including the missing emergency brake. They are very VERY deceptive and crooked. The owner Andy Gabler promised in public on the internet on my review to "make things right" and that was only to make himself look good. On his response he said to get in touch with him but when I did, he was rude, nasty and tried to say I was lying when everything is documented and I took the car to a Kia dealership that looked it over as soon as I took it from their lot and I have a print out of everything that is wrong with it. He said if I wanted my money back he would reverse the sale. Then he hid from me and would not take my calls. When I finally got in touch with him, he says he never said anything and the car is my problem now. He knows I am handicapped and living on a pittance from disability and need a car very badly to get around, but couldn't care less to try to make things right. He pretends to be this big philanthropist but it's all an act to promote himself. He won't even take care of the customers he's scammed! He has his in-laws and wife putting up 5 star ratings for him on the internet and making fake reviews. That is very dishonest. What should we expect though from a guy (and this is public record visible on the PA court records site on the internet) who has a record of violations including title violations 4 pages long and who was arrested for "luring a child into an automobile" "use and possession of drug paraphernalia" drug violations, harassment, disorderly conduct, and more. It's all public record on the internet. Look it up for yourself. Every person who has been had by them should file complaints with the BBB and the state attorney general's office and take them to district court. Let AAA know what kind of place they certified too. Complain to the newspaper and tell every person you meet/ Let's try to prevent other people from being robbed. Scam it up, Andy!

Everyone was super nice and made sure I knew what was going on with the process the whole time! I ordered the parts for my recall, and the dealership called to let me know when the parts were available. When making my appointment, I mentioned I was off on Saturday, and they were able to squeeze me in right away. They completed the work quickly, and had my car back to me in less than an hour. I was also able to leave a second car with them requiring another recall repair, which they completed the next day. They were very professional, quick, and met all my needs.

OUTSTANDING !! Salesman (Nick) Courteous and professional, above and beyond, I stupidly locked my keys in my car in the middle of nowhere and looking at a lot of $$ to get it open. I called Nick but I didn't get the on-star hooked up yet, Nick called me right back with numbers and codes and within the hour I was driving down the road!! /Thanks Nick/ I also didn't feel pressured by FINANCE :-o I didn't have to struggle to get the price I wanted and affordable payments. And I met Andy, a very outgoing and down to Earth guy. In all, It turned an "aw crap I have to get a car" day, to an enjoyable experience. Drove by this place and saw a nice Hyundai so I stopped. I've shopped around erie a bit but this one had the exact color I wanted, plus the nicer wheel package. I didn't plan on buying that day, but the whole experience was nice and I just felt good about buying here so I did. the sales guy Barry to the manager Josh was very friendly and they hooked it up. Very happy!

I have been buying vehioles from Andy since before he had Lakeside, I service my vehicle there when I am in town, I trust Andy and I refer my family and friends there. Lakeside has always treated me great and I give them 2 thumbs up!!!!
