McCarthy Farm

At first glance, barn looks appealing. It's convenient. Provides basic amenities of a boarding barn. Looks can be deceiving. Owner is not a horse person. Your horse is not a concern to him. You get a very minimal amount of care for the price. The guys are over-worked. There is no individual attention. You rely on other boarders. Ice in winter is dangerous. Ventilation system stinks!Boarders are treated different if they don't ride with "trainer". She's unprofessional, mean-spirited, a liar w/limited background. Barn is full of uneducated people or individuals afraid to stand up to nonsense. Be careful. Owner puts trainer's needs/desires before anyone else. Deep, unsafe footing. Control of arena. Lack of safety/concern of others. Farm had decent reputation. Gone downhill fast. Continuing to decline in care and comfort of horses/boarders. Owner needs to provide proper attention/management. Remove drama and maybe farm will return to original purpose.NOT the environment for you/your horse.
