My motorcycle broke down in the spring and I started saving money to get it fixed. I looked up and found Moto Italia around August, I saw on their website that they service bikes so I went in and they said they even come out and will pick it up since I don’t own a truck and trailer. They never showed up or called. I called 6 times within a week and nothing. I went back in person late in September and the person I talked to recognized me and gave me an excuse why they never showed. He assured me they would pick it up that weekend. They never showed up or called. It’s been about a week and nothing. They’ve now wasted 2 months of the riding season for me.

Vernon at Moto Italia replaced the gas tank on my V7 racer under warranty (400 miles on the bike) and it now leaks gas profusely onto the engine making it unable to be ridden. After the warranty repair it was transported by truck to my home and the first time I tried to ride it it had the leak upon starting it. I am thus unable to ride it to the dealer; he refuses to come get the bike and fix his mistake which is a massive safety hazard.



Further, he ignores my calls and when he does answer he hangs up on me once he realizes that I am calling.



I would never purchase a bike or go to them for any sort of maintenance due to their inability to perform basic tasks as well as a blatant disregard for quality, customer service, and even as far as safety of their customers.



I am filing complaints with the attorney general, BBB, Moto Guzzi and personally filing suit against them.

Overall

I have nothing but good to say about Moto Italia. The owner always makes good on his word. When dealing with Italian scooters or motorcycles, be advised that some parts could take up to 2-3 months. I maintain my scooters & bikes as recommend by the manuals and have never had any issues. If you buy a cheap @ss Chinese scooter like the Lance, you got what you paid for pal.

Do not get a vehicle from them or take it there for servicing. I took it in Jun 28th 2013, still haven't gotten it back it's Nov 29th 2013, I have called them more than 100 times and have only had a single call back. I called after the 3 weeks. No call back for 2 weeks. I don't know how they stay in business. No follow through. If they order a part they never check on it. Replaced my muffler under warranty, then it broke the next day, have it back to them. 5 weeks later they hadn't told the warranty people at lance. Just completely ridiculous. Called better business bureau, they would not return there calls either



Now Vernon is mad at me because I contacted state's attorney's office. it got them to at least respond. first time ever. they started they contacted me several times. my phone records don't show any calls from them. if they couldn't contact me they had me address they could have wrote a letter. never did that until state's attorney's office got involved
