Bryant

Ok first things first. When I moved in it seemed like a good move, that was quickly turned around. Management would not return calls if I had a question or concern, it took maintence forever to fix things. I had a hole in my ceiling for about a week before someone actually got out there to fix it. When I moved in my closet smelled like cat urine. I made the office aware of this issue and told them I am allergic to pets, especially cats. They said they would send someone out to clean the carpet. The carpet was never cleaned in the 12 months I lived there. The smell would make me sick to the point where I had to stay at a friend's house pretty much every night. I paid my final month's rent on Aug 1st and moved out on Aug 11th, I had my apartment cleaned very well and turned my keys in that evening once I was finished moving everything out of the apartment. I then called the office and left them a message telling them what the date and time was and that I dropped my keys off. I was supposed to be receiving my security deposit of $75 shortly there after (It was $100 but they automatically take $25 out for a carpet cleaning which is ridiculous because they never cleaned it when I asked). Two months after living in my new apartment I received a notice from Bryant Square saying that I owe them for a full month's rent plus a late fee because I didn't pay rent for September. My lease ended August 31st. I have proof that I signed their lease through Aust 31, 2007 and I also have proof that I moved into my new apartment on August 11th, 2007. I tried contacting them to get this matter resolved, again they did not contact me. I told my father and he tried to contact them at least three times. He had to tell them he was interested in an apartment to get them to contact him! He told them about this issue and the gentleman he spoke with noted that I moved out on August 11th because my father told him I have proof of moving out. He told my father that I will be receiving my deposit check in the mail within the following two weeks (which I do not understand because it should only take a week). It has been nearly a month and I have yet to see the check. I will be calling them to resolve this matter ASAP! The year that I lived there was horrible. I do NOT recommend Bryant Square Apartments!
