Northeast Avian Rescue

Jill is the nicest person I think I've ever dealt with in an organization like this. My sister and I went to see what she had readily available for adoption and to just look around, we found her to be very knowledgeable in the care of her rescues and I know you would think of course she is but you'd be surprised how many have had similar organizations and have no understanding of how to care for these beautiful birds. Some have been removed from terrible conditions and need special care being reintroduced to society and some have never been out of their cage! I actually am experienced with handling and caring for parrots and she taught me so much that I did not know. She is a tiny lady who is soft spoken and her critters love her! As I said, it takes a special kind of person to do what she does, she's given up her home basically to be able to accommodate these guys and she does it without batting an eye. I think more people should check her out and adopt as well as donate. If you are not able to adopt a bird, volunteer because she can always use help, donate, it gets really expensive feeding these beautiful gals and guys, eat like a bird is not as it sounds because they eat all day everyday!
