Established in 1981, Ninth Street Bakery is a wholesale bakery that specializes in providing organic whole grain bread. Based in Durham, N.C., the store provides loaves of fresh bread and pastries to numerous stores and restaurants in the Durham area. Its lunch menu features a variety of dishes, including soup, salads, sandwiches, ham, tuna, turkey, roast beef and veggies. The cafe offers a variety of pastries and coffee all day long. It provides pick-up day old breads, pastries, rolls, cookies and other special orders. The store uses charcoal filtered water, honey, molasses, fresh yeast, corn oil, fresh egg, potatoes, sea salt, rolled oats and other organic ingredient for bread processing.
