Behavioral Counseling
Dr. Erin grew up in California and the Pacific Northwest. She attended the University of Washington, where she obtained her B.S. in Zoology and minor in Wildlife Science. She then graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 (with Dr. Amanda). Dr. Erin worked as an outpatient veterinarian at humane societies for nine years and in emergency medicine for one year before joining Heritage in 2018. Dr. Erin’s special interests include dog behavior and training, working dog medicine, and canine reproduction. Dr. Erin lives on her farm in Tecumseh with her husband and six kids. She has bred English Pointers for twenty years, and French Bulldogs for two years. On their family farm, in addition to their dogs and cats, they have Jersey and Dexter cows, Kune Kune pigs, Kathadin sheep, miniature donkeys, alpacas, chickens, ducks, and turkeys.
Nutritional Counseling
Your pet cannot tell you when something is wrong. An exam by a veterinarian is recommended anytime you notice anything abnormal with your pet. Examples are vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, loss of appetite, trouble breathing, trouble urinating, seizures, bleeding, coughing, new lumps, ear infections, limping, or change in activity.
Comprehensive Examination
Please allow for 48-72 hours for a response. Requesting this medication does not guarantee it will be filled. Your pet must have recently been seen for this issue and/or up to date on wellness exam in order to request a medication.

Laboratory Services
Was worried my cat was blocking and took him here just before close. At first, I was told I couldn’t be seen, but then they were able to make room for me. They were very kind to my kitty, did quick blood work and a urinalysis and turns out he was fine. I’m grateful for them to be able to see him so quickly.

Chelsea joined Heritage Animal Hospital in 2020 as one of our Outpatient Technicians. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology, but is currently taking prerequisite courses for veterinary school. In her spare time, Chelsea enjoys dog training, reading, and spending time with her husband and daughter. Chelsea has three dogs (Trail the Alaskan Husky/Labrador Retriever mix, Maple the Border Collie and Fig the Miniature American Shepherd), two cats (Mac and Cheese) and raises Shetland Sheep.
