Central Animal Hospital always provides free first doses of Frontline and Heartgard to all new patients as appropriate (puppies, kittens and adults). This is a value up to $25.00. We also offer free physical exams of all of Dubuque Regional Humane Society adoptions within the first seven days following adoption.

Parasites Treatment and Control
Although August thru November is the worst time of the year for fleas; NOW is the time to start protecting your pets from these parasites! Keeping your pet(s) protected is extremely important. We recommend Frontline brand flea and tick preventatives. We have NexGard for flea and tick controll, too. It is a newer, chewable preventative that is given monthly. Central Animal Hospital always offers rebates and/or free doses on the purchase of Frontline, Heartgard and most other parasite preventatives. Also, we will meet or beat the price on these preventatives from the online retailer, 1-800-PETMEDS. Our current promotion: 2 FREE doses of Frontline with the purchase of 6 or a $50.00 rebate with the purchase of 12 HeartGard and 6 NexGard (a new, chewable Flea & Tick preventative from the makers of Frontline, Merial) or Frontline.
Pain Management
Occasionally, angry cats will start to purr and canine companions will actually fall asleep during their therapy session. Frequently, after therapy, we hear: “He’s acting like a puppy again” or “She can actually jump onto the chair again.” Pain relief is provided in just a few minutes of therapy and that alone improves the quality of life for your companion.

Small Animal Vet
Dr. White grew up in the Dubuque area and graduated from Loras College with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2007. He then attended Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Before returning to Dubuque in 2012, he worked as a small animal veterinarian in Central Iowa.
