I've used their services a few times now. A small company, their employees don't sound like robots, their local to Douglasville, and do what they say they're going to do. What's not to like? My stove was giving me an error code every once in a while. One of their techs came out and looked over the problem and diagnosed the control board was failing. They had it ordered and returned within a couple days to fix it right up. Awesome job.

Called and asked how much it would cost to have our front loading washer diagnosed. Quoted $49. After the tech performed the diagnosis he billed us $79 and stated that was the normal charge. When we inquired about the $49 quote he said someone must have misquoted and refused to drop the price. Called the office and they also stated that $79 is the price and refused to honor the $49 quote. We will not be using this business in the future.

Overall

T & T was sent out by the store we purchased our dishwasher from to diagnose why the dishwasher door was not opening and distributing detergent. Often we found the detergent sitting on the bottom of the dishwasher basin, or the door not opened at all and the detergent still in the compartment.

In short, the technician blamed my wife and I for why the dishwasher would not operate. He began making excuses even before coming to our home. Over the phone he told my wife that we were operating the dishwasher on the wrong setting. Seemingly, he assumed that we were setting it to a high-temp setting or something of the sort. We told him that he had tried an array of settings all leading to the same issue. When he came out, he blamed the problem on the soap. When asked for a recommendation of what soap to use, he only stated that we used too much. When he was told that in the most recent occurrence of the problem we only filled half of the compartment, he had no response except that we should use a different brand. We told him that we tried at least three different brands and types (that was actually something we read on the Internet).

The technician also argued with my wife in regard to the instructions that he left her during their phone conversation. He stated that he told her to operate the dishwasher without soap in the compartment. When in fact, he told her to run a cycle - not specifying to not add soap. Our assumption would be that he would have wanted use to include soap in the cycle since there would be evidence that the dishwasher would not be working.

During the entire course of the technician's visit to our home he spoke to my wife in a condescending tone and often spoke over her when she was trying to answer his questions. It really seemed as if him coming out and doing his job was an inconvenience and a hassle that he did not want to be bothered with.

Which leads to my biggest issue with the technician - he didn't want to be bothered with running a cycle himself in order to witness the issues himself. This company provides a three-hour window to it's customers - so assuredly there was sufficient time for him to run through a cycle and witness first-hand the problem and still have time to move on to his next appointment. But, he didn't want to bother. He wasn't interested in helping us and it showed from his very first phone call in the morning.

I'm glad this visit was on the retailer's dime. I would have never paid for this so-called "service," I will never consider this company for any future service, or recommend them to anyone who may need assistance.

A ripoff!

I would not recomend them to anyone. The are truly overpriced and unprofessional. The repairman tried to charge me almost $200 for a repair that would probably cost $100. The cost of the part itself was less than $30. When I asked for a moment to think it over, he was very impatient. He kept asking if I was going to get it repaired or not. To top it off, he kept telling me that they would be happy to haul off my washing machine if I decided not to fix it. My washing machine is only 6 years old. Thats not new but it is a Kenmore which seems to be a very reliable brand. Why on earth would I give it to them for nothing. They have already ripped me off with their $80 trip fee for driving about 5 miles and spending less than ten minutes diagnosing the problem. After the repairman left, (I refused to pay them $200 for a $100 dollar job!) I went into my laundry room only to find water flooded all over the floor and the washing machine not put together properly. I would not recomend these people to anyone!

Thanks to a new customer for brining my attention to this review. I notice that the review was posted in 2008. Not having any concrete information to analyze I presume this review might not pertain to us as we have been operating as Mr. Appliance of West Atlanta from 2004 to 2010. We did not resume operation as T & T until 10/2010, at which time we disassociated with the Mr. Appliance concept. We do however honor all warranties for our customers who used us under the Mr. Appliance name. In addition, we have never charged an $80.00 trip charge as stated in the complaint. We do however charge a minimum charge of $49.95 to come out and diagnose the appliance. This charge covers the exact cost to send a tech to the home as our techs are paid by the hour, are not on commission, are all background checked and drug screened along with associated costs for the van, fuel, insurance, workmans comp, liability insurance, and other expenses. Many of the expenses are avoided by companies that only use subcontractors, which we do not use. This person obviously sounds disgruntled but I believe he/she may have his/her facts incorrect and would caution anyone from defaming without utilizing ligitimate facts. My wife and I have worked 6 days a week for seven years to build a quality business witn top performing technicians to service our community. We appreciate legitimate and honest comments as we use these to help grow our business positively . We also know that we cannot please 100% of our customers but work hard trying to do so. We do believe in being honest and truthful and hope we receive the same in return. My Best to all.
