Claude Rainwater is the owner of Rainwater Motor Company ( sale of used cars and trucks, established in 1980, owner of Style Financial Acceptance Corporation ( established in 1991 ), and also owned Independent Car Rental Systems ( I.C.R., established in 1991, an association that now has 850 members located in 48 states, providing the necessary forms, training, insurance and computer programs that are needed to get the member into his/her car rental business ).Claude's extensive financial background and success in the automobile industry make him one of the nation's leading experts in the rental business.His thirty-seven years experience in the automobile industry includes expertise in the financial management industry and ownership of over five credit bureaus, collection agencies, and a new car dealership.In 1990, his outstanding reputation and dedication to the industry led to his appointment by Georgia's Governor, Joe Frank Harris to serve on the State Board of Registration of Used Car Dealers in Georgia. His achievements include having served as President of the Paulding County Rotary Club, Director of the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Appeals Board of Planning and Development for Paulding County and delegate to the Democratic Party of Paulding County, served on the Congressman Bob Barr Roundtable, served on the Douglasville-Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority, and a member of the Republican Party.Having previously served as Secretary, Treasurer, Trustee, Vice President, and President of the Georgia Independent Automobile Dealers Association, he is presently serving as chairman of this fast growing organization. He also served as Co-Chair of the President's Committee for the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association.On July 2, 1998, at the Georgia Independent Automobile Dealers Association Convention, Mr. Claude Rainwater was named "QUALITY DEALER of the STATE of GEORGIA" for the year 1995-1996.In 1998, Claude Rainwater was nominated by his peers, and inducted into the GEORGIA HALL OF FAME, which was established in the 1950's. Only a hand full of dealers have had this prestigious honor bestowed upon them since GIADA was formed in 1955.In 2002, along with six friends, began the First National Bank of West Metro and presently serves on the Board of Directors and as Audit Chairman.Claude and his wife, Mary, have been married for 45 years and they have three daughters who are also married. Claude and Mary have 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, all of which live within walking distance. They live in Villa Rica, GA, and enjoy the serenity of the country as well as the convenience of shopping in Metro Atlanta.
