Weekday, lunch. Server was attentive and pleasant. 12:30PM. only 2 tables occupied. Food was good. The mgr wouldn't validate my #restaurant.com gift cert I purchased. He said it had to be a $25 purchase. My server showed him that it clearly stated a $10 minimum. Server was apologetic. I heard him whisper loudly to the mgr "You HAVE to honor this $5 gift certificate! " They DID take $5 off my total, "JUST, this one time we'll do it." I bought more than 1 gift certificate! I again asked them to redeem/validate my GC, otherwise it can be used over & over. They wouldn't,"Just this one time, $5 off, on them, not because of the certificate. " I really think the server gave me $5 off out of his pocket, so I tipped him more, just in case manager screwed him. I asked server "What happens next time I use gift certificate?" He only shook his head, as if he didn't know or the answer was no. Extremely awkward! I won't be back. I also, won't buy anymore gift certificates from restaurant.com .
