        I purchased a Caterpillar 297c from Vander Haag’s KC MO on 4-15-16. Was told 75% undercarriage ready to work low hours. Noticed it needed axles so Vander Haag’s took price of the axles off the asking price of the machine and said it would be ready to work. I said I had a couple of machines in the northern states I was going to check out also. Vander Haag’s said those machines have been abused on the oil fields and ran in the cold weather that their machine would be ready to go after new axles and was ready to work. I trusted Vander Haag’s and bought the machine and it has been a very bad experience so far. Took it to the caterpillar shop to get the axles fixed. First thing they found was the right side drive motor was failing $5100 for the part Vander Haag’s told me they weren't going to help me with it and just found left track frame is broken. Once repairs are done I will have my Lawyer send them a letter to see if they do the right thing. I will keep this updated.
