ATA Karate

My son has been going to this "business" for almost a year. I call it that because all they care about is the money. They are supposed to be teaching respect and honesty to children but don't practice these things. When we signed up classes were Mon-Sat at various times. Due to our work schedule that seemed great. Over the last couple of months they cancelled Friday and Saturday classes AND they randomly cancel classes thru out the week without any notice or they show up over 15min late to class. They do belt promotions every month even if the student is not ready. The belt promotions are an extra 60.00. We have tried to voice our issues with a manager at ATA to no avail. No one will return our phone call. Finally I decided to cancel hoping that we may be able to get someone to listen but I quickly found out that ATA doesn’t handle cancellations either, it is outsourced to a 3rd party company that cannot help! I would discourage anyone from signing up with this place ever!

this is the WORST company ive EVER dealt with. they are worse than the damn IRS. they lie, the dont communicate, Ro Lawsin will tell you about one contract and hand you another to sign making it permanent $3000 fee to you no matter what happens-whether it be divorce, your child failing REAL school, losing your home, it doesnt matter if they all happen...you are still treated as a number on a screen. there are currently SIX of us that were lied to and handed the wrong contract. the BOSS Cabrerra does NOT associate with ANY of his clients no matter what. as far as the billing, they send you to a third party company to where they are not linked. as in Cabrerra and Lawsin agreed to a certain hold and then a cancellation fee in my specific situation...i called the billing company and they werent able to do any of it due to the fact NO ONE at ATA has ANY authority besides to hand you the WRONG contract!! i am looking into contacting Action 9 and taking them to court over this. if ANYONE would like to join me in trying to get this place to operate correctly or just shut down, please contact me!!

ATA Karate in Denver is ran by people just trying to make their quotas for the month. They just try to sell the parents as much as possible, they do not tell you if things are non refundable. All events have a extra charge to them. Parents be ware of this scam.
