Chiropractic Adjustments
Our doctors are experts in diagnosis and manual manipulation. They have extensive training in the specific and highly efficient adjustments that produce results quickly. All treatments are tailored to each patient, however most patients will benefit from traditional, Palmer-style, chiropractic adjustments. Manual adjustments can be further defined as a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust (HVLA), which means a very quick impulse, delivered to a highly-targeted joint complex which moves a very small distance. HVLA adjustments are very safe, and very efficient when indicated.
Spinal Adjustments
There are countless conditions that can be treated by chiropractors, massage therapists, and acupuncturists, with considerable overlap. And, due to the complexly interconnected nature of our bodies, these therapies are often more beneficial when used in combination. For example, a spinal adjustment may bring immediate relief to back pain, but tight back muscles could pull the vertebrae back out of alignment quickly. Thus, combining chiropractic with massage would bring longer lasting relief.

Kinesiology tape is used for anything from headaches to foot problems and everything in between. Examples include: posture, muscular facilitation or inhibition in pediatric patients, carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back strain/pain (subluxations, herniated disc), knee conditions, shoulder conditions, hamstring, groin injury, rotator cuff injury, whiplash, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, patella tracking, pre and post surgical edema, ankle sprains, athletic preventative injury method, and as a support method.
Manipulation Therapy
Chiropractors hold a four year post-graduate doctorate degree and are board certified and licensed by the state to diagnose, manage, and treat hundreds of conditions. In forming a diagnosis, chiropractors perform a thorough history, physical exam, and are licensed to order tests including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans and lab tests, and others. Treatment approaches vary; however, chiropractors are licensed to perform spinal manipulation, physical therapy modalities, soft tissue treatment, prescribe rehabilitation and exercises, and counsel on nutrition and body biomechanics, etc. Chiropractors are not licensed to prescribe medications or perform surgical procedures.
Spinal Decompression
Spinal decompression involves a computerized table equipped to stretch the spine with controlled increments of pressure and time based on your body and condition. The table helps to facilitate faster healing by opening the joint space, reversing the effects of gravity, and relieving excess pressure on the spine. Spinal joints do not have a good blood supply, so they depend on movement to receive nutrients. But, when the body is injured it often becomes stiff to protect against further damage. Decompression introduces healthy movement back into the joints by creating the pumping effect needed for healthy movement to the injured region. This provides the injured area with increased hydration, nutrients, and oxygen to the injured disc, while also providing relief if there is degeneration present.
Myofascial Therapy
Many of our sports-specific manual therapy techniques are very effective during pregnancy. Our doctors often introduce the Graston Technique or Myofascial Release to address soft tissue pain including rib pain, groin pain, hip pain, glute pain or any other muscle or ligament pain that may creep up during the adventure that is pregnancy. Our goal is to keep our fit, prenatal patients as comfortable and active as possible. We want you to truly enjoy every aspect of being pregnant.

With any injury, it’s important to start with a conservative approach before looking into more invasive treatments that may cause further harm. So, whether the injury is new or has been a chronic issue that needs to be dealt with, spinal decompression may be a good first approach. A spinal decompression table is equipped to treat both neck and low back pain and injuries. Settings can be tailored towards the severity and timing of the injury as well. Conditions that have shown greatest success with decompression include disc herniation, degeneration, stenosis, or facet syndrome. Even minor issues like soreness or tightness may be relieved.
