General Info

This program is for children in Kindergarten through 7th grade. Long Island Prep (LIP) After School Program provides participants with an hour of homework help. Teachers are from NYS or NYC certified public school teachers and other adult and teen volunteers work with our youth in a group setting and help them as the need arises. The second hour of LIP program focuses on NY Statewide Test practice and enriching school work. Students are placed in class according to their academic level and schedule. A nutritious snack is also served. Long Island Prep offers a range of support services for SAT, ACT and PSAT preparation including academic and admissions advising. The purpose of the SAT, ACT & PSAT prep courses is to learn the concepts of Math and English to practice the types of problems that will be tested on the exams. Classes include topics such as English grammar, comprehension, composition and Math. Weekend class provides for 8th grade through 12th grade. Students are placed in class according to their academic level and schedule.
