Tropic Aire Motel

I just had to laugh when i stumbled across this and read the reviews!!!!!!! I am not surprised about what was said and although i do not know the people who wrote these reviews, i believe every word they said. This goes to show ya how true the saying "My how nothing changes". I stayed there for about 6 weeks in October and November 1985!!!! (wow almost 30 yrs ago) Management then was rude and terrible . There was charges and money issues then. I started out in a regular room with 2 double beds then after 2 wks one of their efficiencies became available so i rented that for about a month. Even then all the rooms i came into contact with including the office was old, dated and worn as well as dirty. The outside wasnt much to look at either and back then i thought it was the oldest and most run down looking motel on the strip in that area! Only thing different then is they didnt call the cops nearly enough. A young couple was in the efficiency next to mine and on a regular basis the guy drank and did drugs then would beat the snot outta the girl. Very Loudly and Violently. Management would act like they didnt hear a thing and just ignore it NEVER calling the cops!!!!!

I came there with my 2 boys and the manger is carat I watch her call bcfs on a family of 5 and had there kida tooken from them and she took my money and put me out she had me work for her and never payed me when I ask for the money she called the cops on me she allso adds

60 to 80 bucks to the room and when I try to tell the owner's the don't care I fall waging her stuff I told her that when she say u have to leave if u stay u crazy she will put u out if u don't go to church with her she carzy and ill never stay there ever again

This is hands down the nastiest motel I have ever been to. They may have painted and cleaned it up visually, but do not be fooled. This is a dump! My kid broke out in hives after the first night due to something in the sheets, there was big black hairs folded into the towels, the scumbags who live there and the managment smoke cigarettes and drink in front of the place all day and night. Also, the smoke from their cigarettes goes right into the rooms that are supposed to be non-smoking. I was woke up more than once because of the manager outside yelling at somone at 2am. I attempted to talk to the manager about the yelling and smoke and she went into a racist rant about a previous tenant and then told me that she would have the cops throw me out if I complained again.
