The Shave Bar Salon

I read previous positive reviews about “The Shave Bar“ at 3855 Frankford Rd. Dallas Texas 75287, so I chose this establishment to secure an appointment for my husband’s birthday shave. His birthday was on a Sunday and I called 1 week in advance and spoke with “Shaun J” who ensured me that Sunday’s availability was by appointment only. He secured my appointment and appointment time. He asked that I follow up our conversation with a text message to this number as well (which seemed to be his personal direct phone number); of which I quickly complied. I assumed that all the arrangements were finalized. I even went a step farther by sending an additional text message the day before the appointment to solidify confirmation. After our initial discussion, Shaun J did not respond to any text message, return any messages left via voice mail and/or answer his phone. My husband and I waited outside of the shop for half an hour continuously calling (over 10 times) and leaving text messages to no avail. This was supposed to be the first of many surprises for my husband on his birthday; needless to say the surprise was on me! I cannot attest to the level of service you will receive once you’re inside the door but if this act is indicative as to the level of “quality” service and professionalism ….THIS IS NOT THE BARBER SHOP TO PATRON. As a customer, if you value your money and time please seek another establishment.

Tip to the business owner: If you’d like your business to excel, the first step would be to actually retain and respond to appointments. The sum of clients that my company would have afforded your business would have been quite substantial. It is truly your failure.

This establishment is extremely "ghetto" and unprofessional. There was a young lady there whom preformed a poor excuse of a bald fade on my son, it was more like a bald head and all the so called manager could say was "she's an independent contractor" and when I asked him was he the manager his response was "something like that". Overall this shop doesn't even deserve 1 star! Their barbering skills are terrible and talking with the manager assured me that it was all about a dollar to them! It's plenty of great barbershops in Dallas, don't waste your time at this one.
