        The Crete Township Fire Protection District is a full-service public safety agency that maintains a presence in Crete, Ill. It conducts annual fire inspections and checks address signs and numbers, sprinkler systems and emergency exits. The district works to protect the lives, property and environment of residents from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. It uses a variety of equipment, including fire suppression and rescue vehicles, hydraulic spreaders, rams and cutters, high- and low-pressure air bags and hand tools. The Crete Township Fire Protection District additionally receives and responses to request calls for emergency medical assistance via 911 telephone systems.
