I don't know how to begin to tell anyone how this restaurant treats it's customers. I bought chicken here, 2 8 piece chicken only for a bargain of $22.00, which comes to $1.375 per piece. Mind you now, this is for a wing too which has no meat on it.Most likely 10 times what the owner paid for the raw chicken, but ok, everyone has to profit in business right? I bought this on December 30th at approximately 7:00 p.m. There was not one other customer in the store at the time. After getting home, and I live 5 minutes away and starting to eat, I just knew that this chicken was most likely sitting under the lights for hours and hours. The breading was hard as a rock, you couldn't chew through the skin unless your teeth were razor blades and the meat was dry, dry, dry. Ok, so I figured anyone can make a bad batch. So I called "AL" at Browns store in Countryside and told him about my situation. He told me he might be able to get me "some kind of refund". I said, " No AL, I am willing to drive back and you just exchange this for some fresh chicken". AL said, that is fresh chicken. I said No AL, I've been buying from this Brown's for years and this is NOT fresh chicken so I will be there in 15 minutes, just drop some fresh stuff for me. Ready for this----- AL says, if you come back here, I'm just going to give you back the same chicken because that is fresh chicken. I figured that I was getting no where with AL, so I took pictures of the chicken just before I tossed it in the garbage where it belonged. AL must have thought I was out for a free meal, like I do this every week. Actually, this is my first complaint and it will be my last as I will NEVER go here again. So, I called Brown's Headquarters and explained to them. Same story. They said that this is an independent franchise so they would have to pass the complaint to the owner. It took him from Dec. 31 until January 5 for the owner, DON, to call me back. Boy was I in for a surprise. This guy,

DON, told me what I should have done, what his policy (unposted) is, about him picking up some stain he wasn't happy with, how McDonald's works with complaints, on and on.He wanted to give me examples of why he wouldn't stand behind a $20 order of chicken and make me like it!!!! He said "maybe they had a busy or a bad day" What???? He said I should have come back with the chicken which is exactly what I offered to do. I asked him why would I bother to bring the chicken back when I was going to get the same chicken in return??? (cricket). I said c'mon DON, let's cut to the chase. What are you going to do about it? He told me, in the future, I should call them ahead of time if I want fresh chicken!! REALLY FOLKS. If you want fresh chicken here, don't just stop in. CALL THEM!!! In the end, he was totally arrogant and said too bad, if you don't still have the chicken NOW, 6 DAYS LATER, I can't help you!!!! This franchise owner, DON, was the most unhelpful, arrogant person I have ever done business with. Shameful, just shameful to treat customers this way!! He is not a businessman by any stretch of the imagination. Bye-Bye Browns. And this won't be the end of it DON. I will keep posting my lovely experience until you wish you never treated me like your garbage chicken!!
