Countryside Restaurant

This family style restaurant features a home style menu for a meat-and-potatoes crowd: meatloaf, spaghetti and meatballs, and lasagna are all mainstays of the menu. The haddock--fried or baked--is probably the fanciest thing on the menu.

Portions are very generous and the food, though not remarkable, is tasty and stick to your ribs. The desserts are enormous and include fresh pies daily, cakes--such as Boston creme--as well as ice cream and Whoopie Pies.

The "all you can eat" salad bar could use fresher vegetables, more attractive presentation, and a little wider variety, but it is clean and provides basic garden salad fixings of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber slices.
