The lab ladies have no reason to be as rude as they are, other employees are civil but no one is friendly. The building needs attention.

Overall

Endocrine Consultants, Columbus, GA has a beautiful office off Brookstone Parkway in Columbus, GA located in a very elegantly laid out mixed use office park. I was positively impressed when I entered with the attention of the front desk. The front desk is operated in a professional and business-like manner. I signed in, my co-pay was quickly taken and I was seated in a comfortable waiting area. Quite quickly, I was called back and my weight and blood pressure were promptly taken and I was seated in a waiting area in the back. Thirty minutes later I was taken to a small exam room and the door closed. At that point, I was expecting a doctor to see me shortly. However at this point, my experience with Endocrine Consultants, Columbus, GA began to slowly deteriorate. I waited 35 minutes which at that point-in-time put me one hour after my scheduled appointment of 1:15, it was 2:15 of which I had been waiting in the back area for over one hour. At no time did anyone tell me the doctor was running late. I waited another 20 minutes becoming more claustrophobic with each passing moment. I opened the door thinking I had been forgotten as well I needed to find a restroom. I never saw a physician, even though I had an appointment for 1:15. At 2:35 p.m. I found an exit sign, and made my way out of the office and back to the front lobby. I approached the lady I remembered had checked me in and asked her for my co-payment to be returned. She asked me if I would like to speak to the office manager, to which I responded, yes, thinking it might be help alleviate this situation happening to another patient that might be thrust into the position I found myself. The young lady left and after more than 10 minutes came back again, saying she was very sorry, shortly thereafter two other ladies came out, and one began looking at something behind the counter not addressing nor looking at me. I had no idea who either of them were, finally assumed one of the ladies was the office manager, when she asked me if I wanted to reschedule my appointment. I told her I was not sure. At that point, I had become very nervous and upset with everything that had happened and was happening. Also, during the time the receptionist was looking for the office manager, the nurse come from the back and told me the doctor was looking for me. I was shaking, nervous and told her I had decided to go. The second lady that appeared along with the office manager spoke up and said she was the CFO or CCO or something, and that I needed to step to the back with her. I told her I would not. And also, stated to her that this was a very poor way to treat a patient. I turned with my bundle of nerves and stressed emotions and just left.

I had a very similar experience with Endocrine Consultants of Newnan, where I was placed in an open area in the back, and left for over an hour and thirty minutes. I don’t know if this is the mentality of Endocrine Consultants. My internist, has scheduled this appointment with the Columbus office of Endocrine Consultants after my experience with the Newnan, GA office.

Unfortunately, unless you have no value of your time, I would not recommend this company to anyone, based on my personal experiences with them.
