1. Midlands Audio Institute ( MAI ) is one of the few audio schools that is part of an accredited college. The MAI Audio Engineering program is offered through Midlands Technical College Continuing Education in Columbia, South Carolina. After completing our courses, you receive vocational certificates from Midlands Technical College that you can show potential employers to document your quality training in audio engineering. Many schools offer audio classes, but the MAI is part of an actual vocational college program "Registering with Midlands Audio Institute was one of the best decisions I've ever made.The MAI is a great way to get started in the field." Since 2004, the MAI has trained over 1, 000 students through our classroom program.The MAI is a year round, professional audio engineering training center. 3. Students travel from all of the Southeast to take classes in Pro Tools, Reason, Music Business, Live Sound and more. Our classes are designed around proven classroom curricula that will work with anyone's learning style. Since we are part of an accredited vocational program, all of our instructors have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in audio engineering or a related field ; many of our faculty have master's degrees.
