Client charged with two counts of domestic violence and one count of assault. After trial to jury, Client found NOT GUILTY of first degree misdemeanor domestic violence and assault.
Drug Crimes
State v. Chojnowski. Client charged with possession of drug abuse instruments after search of bag in a vehicle in which she was a passenger. Filed motion to suppress on the basis that driver of vehicle did not have authority to consent to search of bag, which trial court denied. On appeal, Ninth District Court of Appeals reversed trial court and established new rule of law prohibiting searches of passenger’s personal effects based solely on a driver’s consent.
Assault
Murder
Client charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, and one count of domestic violence after allegedly shooting a gun at two people. All charges were accompanied by three year gun specifications. Client found NOT GUILTY of all charges after trial.
Homicide
After achieving an overall 100th percentile score on the July 2010 Ohio Bar Examination, Pat began his legal career representing clients in the greater Cincinnati area in the areas of criminal defense and domestic relations, establishing a successful trial record in the process. Brown Law Office filed Motion to Dismiss, arguing that Client’s constitutional right to a speedy trial had been violated, which trial court granted. CASE DISMISSED.
