Ok..., get ready for what you will think is the impossible. I needed a referral from Dr. Rubick for services that they do not perform. I was told "you will need to come in and see the doctor or you cannot get a referral". Nice scam...., pay for a visit when I am not sick to get a referral. OK, so I did it. Went in this morning and showed up 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment, because I was left waiting 40 minutes last time I had an appointment there. I was called up to the window and told "you passed the doctor's 5 minute grace period, so he won't see you today". balahahahahahah! I guess SOMEONE thinks his time is WAY more valuable than mine. So I told the dynamic duo at the receptin desk that I wouldn't be rescheduling, but since I had taken time off work (for this needless appointment) I would just like to get the blood work done across the hall that the good doctor had ordered the last time I had been in. But wait...., I couldn't do that because they had old insurance information on file for me that was not in effect (yup, I had helped pay for new software with my earlier visits) and since I did not have my insurance card with me I could not get the blood work done either! So, since I was there, had taken time off work, and could not get the blood work done, I said "I will just be a walk-in. There are all of TWO people in the lobby waiting." I was ten told, "No, you can't be a walk-in because you are at the Appointments window". Blahahahahahha! Anyway...., PLEASE GO ANYWHERE ELSE BEFORE YOU GO HERE. Unless you enjoy stupidity and really, really really BIG egos. I will go to a free clinic before I go back there. Oh, wait, I have to "click to rate" on this sight. Does anyone know how to click negative 10? Blahahahahah, I can't save my post unless I rate them at least a 1.....

Good Service

I saw Dr. Mesa for a routine exam. She was a great listener, gave clear options and gave clear and professional advice. The office support staff was polite and accommodating. All the paperwork was clearly explained and the appointment started on time. Would recommend.

I would like to echo what Kenda S. mentioned on 05/20/2014. Don't expect to be seen in any sort of timely manner whether you are a walk-in or have an appointment. You will be left sitting in a back room for an hour + with no explanation as to what on earth is taking so long when you can obviously hear the doctors and nurses gossiping outside the door. Staff is incredibly rude both over the phone and in person. You will be referred to other providers just so they get paid and they will call you every day, multiple times, trying to get you to schedule (do not expect to ever receive a call back if you have an actual medical question or issue though). When you actual do schedule a referral with an outside provider, they will never, ever ever ever ever ever fax your medical records correctly. EVER. And don't expect to get a copy of said records to hand carry to the other doctor without paying per sheet of paper. The one redeeming quality of North Springs was Doctor Hollis Julson, who is no longer working there.

Overall

1. Office smells like old pee and is dirty.

2. Staff is rude and doesn't care if you live or die.

3. Staff talks about other patients and co-workers and they don't care who is listening.

4. They bill fraudulently. They will bring something up that you aren't even concerned about just to pad their bill.

DONT GO HERE.....DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

I just deleted an outstanding review defending Dr. Rubick with the previous negative one.I wrote it in February 2012. Dr. Rubick had been my doctor for over 7yrs. Last July I blacked out and had a car accident. I'm sure it was a medication. When I called his office to have his staff tell him what happened they called me back and told me he had cancelled my next scheduled appt. (I had been seeing him once a month for 2 years) , he wanted me to see another dr. and he wasn't wasting another hour with me. So he immediately dropped me without advising me on my treatment, checking out causes (like maybe a stroke) or about any of the medications he prescribed. They did tell me he said I was one of his favorite patients. You know the old clique, If that is how how he treats his favorites; how must he treat the least favorites? I was very foolish to put my trust in him for 7 years. Until then, I never would have believed an unkind word about him. P.S. Since I stopped all those medications, I've never had another blackout. Not even close.

I would tell them exactly the horrible service that I had received. I was going almost twice a week due to issues with a DVT and PE but I have been getting better, when my provider left. I had to make an apt to see another doctor and ended up being a couple of minutes late and they canceled my apt starting that I was a no call no show. I have never been late before and then the lady told me I could sign in as a walk in and still be seen later in the order that people arrived. I then asked to speak to the manager or owner and was told she was the manger. After arguing for 30 min I had to leave to give my daughter dinner. Well the next day the owner Dawn reubric called and said I was not welcome back and then slammed the phone down. I called her back trying to ask a few questions and she said that she does not talk to patients and that I was not to contact anyone within the office again. There have been multiple times that I have had to wait in the waiting room waiting for an apt sometimes for up to an hour and they have never had the common courteously to even tell the patients that they are running behind. I am sorry but this is not the way that a business should be run. Especially when I have paid all my bills and always been there for my apts.

I have already told multiple friends about North Springs Family Clinic. I have been seen there at least 10 times in the past year and have been impressed with the care I have received. From the front desk to the doctors they are all professional, knowledgeable and treat you with compassion and kindness. A couple of times I have experienced long wait times when coming in as a walk-in patient, but that usually is not the case. North Springs Family Medicine is now my primary doctor office and I will continue to refer my friends and neighbors to them.

I have been with Dr Rubick for several years at both locations. I drive farther when I need an accurate diagnosis. This past week, many doctors and one at Penrose ER could not determine why my health rapidly declined after a vaccination. He not only diagnosed it, but explained it to me, gave me meds not just to put my symptoms at ease, but to eliminate possible issues and end the suffering. I am so happy and on the road to normality once again. I trust him with my life's decisions. He recognizes my stubborn streak and understands my needs, with compassion and direction. He is the best doctor I have ever seen, and believe me, I have decades of experiences with doctors in preventative health.

Do not be fooled, North Spring...

Do not be fooled, North Springs Family Medical is a business. They care only about revenue and you can see it throughout all your dealings. For starters, they'll tell you the wait is half of what it really is (3 out of 3 times, this proved true). Our shortest wait was 1 hour and longest wait was 2 hours. My wife had an acute issue and blood work was promised same day (great!), except the doctor took 3 full days to "get around to reviewing the lab work". During those 3 days, we called and called and called and received nothing. Finally on the 3rd day they say we have to come in to get the results, even though results are often given via email/phone all over the US. They want you to come in... because it's a business and they can make money off a follow up appt. So, we came in. The front office staff is extremely rude and the business is run with a mentality that "patients will sit, wait, and shut up". They held our lab results hostage until we saw the PA (not a doctor, not even close, they see patients, but must run everything through the 1 doctor/owner who runs this business, whom we never saw). So over 2 hours later, we finally saw the PA. She told us the results, which were not worth all the trouble. They tried to give us 3 reference appts and follow ups with them for each one (money money money). THEN, the funniest thing happened, every single day after the references were given, they call, call, call, call, call, call... every day, multiple times per day. Where were these calls when we were waiting on the lab results for 3 days? Hmm... no where to be found, but when there are references to specialists (doctors make big bucks on references), they call call call to make sure they're set up... once again, this place is a business through and through.

All in all, avoid this place, or at least go in with the expectation of crappy service, long, LONG wait times, rude front office staff, delay on lab results, apologies from the PA for all the issues, and plenty of referrals. Any positive review on this place was either a fluke accident or a person who works there writing a positive fake review.

This is the WORST doctors office. The front desk will talk about you in front of other patients, and DR. Rubic is a disgusting person, he is so rude and is not a caring person at all. Linda the PA is great. I used to go there until Dr. Rubic got on the phone and yelled at me. My mom also went there and he has yelled at her as well. Do not go here!!
