Peak View Behavioral Health

Only go to peak view if you wanna feel crazier in there than you did before going...male staff forced my husband out of the assesment room by grabbing him and shoving him out which was very tramatizingfor my first day there. the entire time of my stay the employees treated me and other patients like crap, being very verbally abusive and treating us like dogs (I'm sorry but if you want to work with people with mental illnesses the worst thing you can do is treat us like prisoners like were being punished for having a mental illness) and the workers couldn't even give me or my husband straight answers about any questions we had.I was held past my 72hr hold and no it wasent because they thought I was unsafe it was because the first 2 days I wasent seen by a therapist psyciatrist or a doctor so they had to hold me longer because they were behind with the paperwork in my file and I didn't see anyone untill my 3rd day there(let me also say that in their information packet it says that "you will be seen by a therapist assigned to you within the first 24hrs of your stay" complete BS!)so basically my first 2 days was spent crying and anxiety ridden curled up on my bed alone given no meds, with noone to check on me other than to see if I wanted a snack or for vitals, and by the way, they didn't care that I was crying other than saying I was in a safe place....safe place?! Alone for 2 days in a room that's not padded where I could have smashed my head on the walls if I wanted to,not seen by anyone to talk to me and feeling even worse and more alone in there than at my house, so safe place my @ss! So after staying in there for 4 days with them milking the crap out of my insurance and not even having anyone diagnose me with any disorder(just deciding to medicate me instead of talking to me when I was having panic attacks)I got absolutly nothing out of the treatment center other than missing work and school, getting a huge outragous bill and being tramatized by doctors and never trusting counslers ever again.....thanks peak view!!
