One of two companies contracted by a government contractor to write an appraisal on my home. He came in $10K less than the other appraiser. When provided the information also used for the other evaluation, he refused to increase the value of the property. He provided what I believe as terrible justification for his position. After all, if he did make an adjustment, it would have shown he under-valued the property in the first place. I have retained his word for word response to support my rating.
